About the Role

We are seeking a Sales Executive to join our team and uphold our company values : Treat People with Respect, Be Responsible and Do the Right Thing. As a Sales Executive with Curry Sales, you will be responsible for strategizing with customers to generate and grow a profitable and manageable broad base of business.

Essential Job Functions :

Vendor Management

  • Educates vendors on retailer expectations, strategies, processes and timelines
  • Manages vendor life cycle

Relationship Management

  • Develops and grows creditable relationships
  • Manages relationship between vendor and buyer
  • Educates new buyers on history, category and vendor
  • Business Strategy

  • Develops strategies to drive brand and category growth
  • Strategizes negotiation events and line reviews with vendors
  • Strategizes promotional plans; confirms actual events with retailer
  • Makes recommendations that are reliable and value-added
  • Collaborates with partners to develop and execute plans that achieve sales objectives
  • Industry, Market and Trend

  • Reads and understands market data and business trends
  • Explores new opportunities for growth using available market data with fact-based approach
  • Identifies new business opportunities and potential threats within the industry
  • Business Line Management

  • Works collaboratively with retailer on product, packaging and market testing
  • Provides guidance of competitive shopping pricing
  • Manages department timelines and calendars
  • Communicates adds / deletes to vendor and team
  • Manages presentations, business results, and recommendations
  • Other

  • Performs miscellaneous tasks as required
  • Upholds Curry Sales vision and company values
  • Local, domestic and international travel could be required
  • Minimum Job Requirements :

  • Account and project management skills and knowledge; strategic planning skills
  • Builds and maintains internal and external relationships
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with ability to message appropriately
  • Organized, able to prioritize, and pay attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously effectively
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with a balance of creative and math skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others, yet able to work independently
  • Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 7 years of experience in mass retail and CPG
  • Proficient in MS Windows, Office Products, Adobe PDF; MS Excel expertise required
  • Curry Sales uses E-Verify to confirm the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires.
