Schedule : 4 days a week, 9-hour shifts. On-call 8-10 days a month with one weekend required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

Your Role :

The Cardiac Catheterization / Electrophysiology (EP) Technician provides hands-on patient care while assisting physicians during cardiac and EP procedures. You will be responsible for the safe operation of all lab equipment while delivering essential care to patients.

Responsibilities Include :

  • Performing imaging procedures in accordance with established lab standards to assist in disease diagnosis and treatment.
  • Assisting with procedure scheduling and providing pre-procedure education to patients.
  • Preparing and monitoring patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Supporting physicians throughout various procedures.
  • Assessing the procedure room for operational equipment and readiness.
  • Operating cath / EP support equipment safely for all lab procedures.
  • Cleaning and calibrating equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Communicating effectively with physicians and staff regarding patient conditions as needed.
  • Documenting all procedures performed in electronic medical records promptly and accurately.
  • Managing and maintaining inventory within the department.
  • Organizing supplies and ordering as required.
  • Participating in departmental performance improvement activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with standards set by accrediting bodies.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications : Required :

  • Registration as a Nurse, Cardiovascular Technologist, or Radiology Technologist.
  • Valid Georgia license / certification in the respective field.
  • Proficiency in computer systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with scrubbing is preferred.
  • Preferred :

  • Prior experience in a Cardiac Catheterization and / or EP lab.
  • Licensure, Certification or Registration Required :

  • Current Georgia license in the respective field.
  • BLS certification.
