Leadership Oversight : The SCD will oversee the MGH ED clinical operations team, providing guidance and support while promoting professional development for all team members.

Quality Improvement and Safety Initiatives : The SCD will partner with Quality and Safety leadership to implement and support initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and care quality within the ED.

Collaboration Across Role Groups : The SCD will work closely with nursing, APPs, and administrative staff to foster a collaborative environment that supports staff engagement and patient care excellence.

Teaching and Academic Contribution : The SCD will actively participate in the teaching of residents and contribute to the academic mission of the department through scholarly activities.
