Overview

The candidate will serve as our sole team member sitting on base at NAWDC Fallon.  The majority of the team is involved in the development of system requirements, design, software development and testing.  This position is unique for this team because it is less focused on the engineering of the system and more about interfacing with, training, soliciting feedback from members of the strike community, and developing tactics documents.

Responsibilities

• Travel to, participate, collaborate, and present / brief at various meetings, such as Operational Advisory Group, working groups, planning meetings, exercises, etc.
• Create presentations and briefs for presenting at meetings.
• Capture notes, actions, decisions, and minutes at meetings.
• Complete assigned actions.
• Create and provide briefs to various commands and organizations.
• Provided Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to various commands and organizations, at meetings, and at various exercises and / or test events.
• Revise Navy Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (NTTP).
• Develop tactical memos for various use cases and customers.
• Respond to and provide inputs to Request for Information (RFI) from various commands and organizations.
• Develop training materials and provide Tomahawk training at various sites / locations and to various customers.
• Review and provide inputs on various documents, such as NTTPs, tactical memos, tactical bulletins, CONEMPs, training plans and other plans, etc.
• Provide support for the Training Development Team (TDT)

Requirements

Preferred Skills

Ideal candidates will have served as a member of a strike staff (e.g., Carrier Strike Group, DESRON, etc.), have experience on a strike team, have deployed on a Tomahawk shooter, and were either senior enlisted or mid-level to senior officer

Travel

Typically 4 one-week trips per year to San Diego, Norfolk, and Austin

Education

BS preferred but not required
