This is a hybrid role based in Austin, TX, with offices in Central Austin.

Our health-tech client is seeking a SW Engineering Manager to manage Software Engineers and work within a technical engineering team to support Engineering. You will serve as a mentor and coach for engineers, work with the VP of Engineering to enable more efficient processes and best practices across our teams.

You will work alongside Software Architects and Engineers in the Engineering department. You will manage and oversee the growth and development of Software Engineers. You will manage and lead the teams responsible for Consumer frontend and backend engineering as you help deliver a roadmap of work aimed at improving the ease of writing, testing, and deploying code.

We are in high-growth, startup mode and need someone who is willing to get their hands dirty.

What You’ll Do :

• Manage, grow, and mentor Software Engineers
• Become an expert on our applications and provide technical leadership to Engineers
• Consistently spend time coding on bugs and features that are not assigned to teams
• Work with the Head of Technology and Director of Product to scope and plan future projects
• Promote an Engineering culture of teamwork, success, fun, and opportunity
