OVERVIEW
The Sales Activity Specialist supports the Sales Department by assisting regional sales managers, representing the company at events and facilitating customer engagement activities with a concentration on the K-12 food service market. This full-time role involves significant travel and requires strong organizational, communication, and technical skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS
- Assist regional sales manager in their assigned area.
- Travel requirement is approximately 75%, depending on market demands and regional needs.
- Represent the company at trade shows and events, including independently managing smaller scale shows as needed.
- May participate in meetings with key customers in designated regions alongside regional sales managers.
- May visit a distributor or school in assigned areas to review products.
- Conduct follow-up on leads or opportunities generated from trade shows, as needed.
- May deliver samples within an assigned area for customers reviews.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret sales data from various sources (CRM, reports, etc.).
- Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in sales data to understand performance and potential opportunities.
- Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and forecast future sales performance.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to sales and marketing teams based on data analysis.
- Track and evaluate sales metrics, identify areas for improvement, and measure the effectiveness of sales initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer behavior to recommend sales strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, finance) to align goals and implement data-driven strategies.
- Contribute to the development of sales plans, targets, and quotas.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.Two (2) or more years of related interpretation of sales data.Work Experience
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably within the food industry.Skills and Knowledge
Proficient using PC, via keyboard / mouse, and various software applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite and Kronos).Demonstrated ability to maintain integrity and privacy of confidential information.Ability to work well under pressure and quickly assess and respond appropriately to questions.Ability to adapt to change and learn quickly.Good organizational skills.Excellent attention to detail.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work as contributing member within the team.Supervisory Responsibilities
