American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN Manager with strong leadership skills, a BSN, and an active CO or compact RN license for a daytime surgical services leadership role.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a general surgery unit within a hospital settingManage and supervise nursing staff and departmental operations in the operating roomDay shift schedule : Monday through Friday, 6 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PMOn-call requirements for administrative department needs on nights and weekendsUses EPIC as the primary EMR systemLead, mentor, and evaluate staff while managing day-to-day operations, budgeting, and strategic initiativesResponsible for hiring, orientation, retention, and staff satisfactionAccountable for department performance, resource management, and compliance with regulatory requirements including Joint Commission and OSHA standardsSupports professional development and ongoing competency of nursing staff through training and regular evaluationsExpected to model professionalism and foster employee engagementMay oversee department staffing of fewer than 50 employees and / or Monday to Friday operationsBackground check and drug screen required prior to start with strict deadlines for complianceFirst-time travelers will be considered for this position\n \n Requirements\n
Active CO or compact RN license requiredBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution requiredMinimum of two years of clinical nursing experience requiredAt least one year of recent experience in the operating room specialty requiredPrior leadership or supervisory experience requiredCurrent American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredMust complete required leadership training and development courses within one year of hireNo pending licenses accepted for consideration\n Benefits\n
