Job descriptionWork in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital Primary patient population includes medical, surgical, and oncology cases Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 5-6 Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Required to work two shifts every other weekend, with weekend days rotating based on the team schedule Float required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed Epic EMR system is used and experience is required Navy scrubs are required as part of the dress code Care for a diverse caseload of medical, surgical, and oncology patients in a fast-paced environment No on-call responsibilities are required All travelers may float within service lines to support staffing needs Holiday coverage in line with hospital scheduling Permanent former employees must wait 1 year before returning as travelers Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract, with no time off permitted during the first week of orientation Fit testing required; facial hair must allow for proper testing Free parking is available onsite Modules must be completed prior to start as part of pre-employment onboarding Active MO or compact RN license required Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience Current certifications : BCLS and NIH Stroke Scale, plus Fire Safety Epic charting experience required Must provide references from supervisors within the last two years Travelers must reside more than 75 miles from the facility First-time travelers are accepted High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
