Roots Through Recovery is a trauma-focused outpatient treatment center for adults and adolescents in Long Beach, CA. We have proudly served the Long Beach community since 2016.

We offer dedicated morning and afternoon tracks for primary mental health, primary substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders, provided by an experienced and compassionate clinical team of physicians, clinical psychologists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, drug and alcohol counselors and integrated wellness practitioners.

Our program integrates EMDR, mindfulness, and other cognitive, process, experiential, and expressive therapies, to address the mind, body and spirit. The goal of this approach is to address unresolved trauma, expose our clients to a variety of tools, and help them to develop the skills needed to live a healthy, productive and fulfilling life in recovery. Roots also provides all of our clients with weekly case management, weekly family therapy, as well as monthly family intensive weekends.

Job Summary

Roots Through Recovery is seeking a full-time, licensed therapist (LMFT, LCSW or LPCC) with experience in substance use, mental health and trauma for our field-based program at community high schools and middle schools in the south and south central Los Angeles area . This position is for a new and exciting program that will provide comprehensive behavioral health services to students and families at schools in the Compton, Watts and South Central LA communities.

In this role, you will diagnose and treat substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders, address trauma, teach communication and healthy coping skills, assist patients in addressing maladaptive behaviors, and guide them through crises as you develop their resilience.
