Unit Size : 52 beds

Patient Ratios : 3 : 1 average, low acuity 5 : 1, team nursing for pediatrics

Electronic Medical Record : Meditech EMR

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1570 - $1610

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Kansas RN license (Registered Nurse)

Minimum 1 year of recent ER nurse experience in a large facility (52 beds or more)

BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and NIH Stroke certifications required

Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

TNCC certification preferred

Proficient in IV starts and medication administration

Ability to excel in a fast-paced, diverse emergency room environment

Strong communication and teamwork skills

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages

Perform IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric nursing care

Collaborate with physicians, midlevel providers, and other clinical support staff

Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR

Ensure compliance with patient and medication scanning protocols for safety

Adapt quickly to changing patient needs and emergency situations

Contribute to a positive patient experience in a busy Kansas ER setting
