Job Title : Part-Time Wound Care Nurse Practitioner
Seeking a Part-Time Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide wound services to patients living in long-term care facilities - 3 days per week
Locations : Bellevue, Beloit, Osborne must be able to travel to all locations
Schedule / Shift
- Monday - Friday : 8a - 5p (able to pick which 3 days you would like to work, just need to be consistent with schedule)
- 24 hours per week
Pay : 115,000-130,000
WOUND NP ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide wound care services for long-term care patients residing in skilled nursing facilities.Prescribe appropriate medications, including controlled substances in accordance with KS Law.Order, review, and / or follow-up with treatments and diagnostic testing.Communicate with the nursing home staff on a regular and as needed to discuss changes in condition.and / or the care plan.Collaborate with the primary care physician.Wound NP Qualifications And Education Requirements
Current, unrestricted NP license in the state of Kansas.Board Certification.DEA licensure (Optional)Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties.Clinical background of wound care; including but not limited to chronic, debilitating, stalled, or infected woundsMust be comfortable with diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous, and mixed etiology wounds or Kennedy Ulcers.Must be comfortable staging pressure injuries according to the NPIAPMust be familiar with wound care best practice and advanced wound care products; collagens, alginates, foams, silvers, etc.Must have experience with wound vacs and other DME, such as pressure relieving / reducing devicesStrong preference to having wound certification or be open to getting certifiedExperience working in a long-term care setting.Ability to work with an EMR.Ability to work within an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient careBenefits offered :
