Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a chemical or petrochemical location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the environment. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior. Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. Communicate with Allied Universal management and site personnel regarding security-related matters and / or incidents. Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies. Support emergency response efforts, including evacuations and / or drills, as directed by site procedures. At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. A guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred. Willingness to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
