Director of Front Office – Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of direct hotel Front Office experience in a leadership roleStrong background in staff training, supervision, and performance managementAvailability to work 50 hours per week, including weekends and holidaysExcellent communication, guest service, and conflict resolution skillsProficiency in hotel systems (PMS) and reporting toolsAbility to maintain a polished, professional 4-diamond presentationProven ability to manage guest concerns calmly and effectivelyJoin a high-performing hospitality team where leadership, service excellence, and operational precision come together. Oversee daily operations of Front Office and Guest Services, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to brand standardsEnsure completion and accuracy of registration cards, credit checks, rate discrepancy reports, and checkout balance reportsAssign and block guest arrivals with attention to VIPs, Select Guests, ESPs, and special requestsLead and reinforce continued training efforts with all associates, including MOS & POE programsCollaborate with Assistant Front Office Managers and communicate key updates during shift transitionsTroubleshoot hotel computer system issues and maintain system knowledge for effective training and maintenanceHandle guest complaints with professionalism, turning challenges into opportunities for service recoveryParticipate in scheduling and monitor payroll productivity to maintain labor efficiencyAttend departmental and property-wide meetings as designated by the Director of OperationsDirector of Front Office – Preferred Background & Skills
Experience in luxury or 4-diamond hotel settingsFamiliarity with Opera or similar PMS platformsDegree or certification in Hospitality Management is a plusBilingual capabilities (especially Spanish or French) preferredExperience developing and rolling out service excellence programsStrong cross-departmental collaboration skills
