About The Position

Job Title : Stepdown Registered Nurse

License : South Carolina RN license or Compact license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS required; NIHSS preferred

Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience
• Ability to float within the facility as needed
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred

Description :

The position is for a Stepdown Registered Nurse.

The shift is 3x12s, nights from 7 PM to 7 AM.

There is a holiday rotation and the patient ratio is 1 : 4.

Every other weekend is required.

On-call duties are not required for this position.

First-time travelers are not accepted.

All requested time off must be included at the time of submission.

Approval for time off will be based on facility needs.

The facility has a free parking policy.

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams.

Travelers should not confirm a new or extended assignment during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.

Preferred skills include experience with various patient management tasks such as care of ventilated patients, central line management, and telemetry.

Candidates will need to demonstrate their ability to perform specific nursing skills required for stepdown care.
