Position

Commercial Tax Manager to join our growing firm. A Commercial Tax Manager provides federal tax compliance and planning services to large middle market and public companies. A Tax Manager works closely with firm leadership and plays a key role in business development and firm administration activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide federal tax compliance and planning services to large middle market and public companies and public client work as assigned.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership and contribute to business development and firm administration activities.
  • Support client service teams with tax planning, research, and engagement execution across multiple industries.
  • Mentor and develop staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • CPA with 5+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning and consulting at a public accounting firm with a focus on private equity backed clients, large businesses and partnerships
  • Technical knowledge sufficient to sell and execute engagements in a wide variety of industries, with a focus in Manufacturing and Distribution, Technology, and / or Construction
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
  • Strong relationship management and practice development skills
  • Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
  • Compensation and Benefits

    At Weaver, compensation is commensurate with experience and skills. A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $191,000 in the California and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. Weaver offers competitive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance) and a 401(k) plan.
