Security Officer - Retail Center - Full Time

As a Security Officer in Spanaway, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will be responsible for conducting unarmed patrols throughout the premises to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for all visitors. You will remain visible, engage with customers, and respond to situations with professionalism and care. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities :
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to assist with maintaining order within the location.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and surrounding perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance needs within the retail or mall location.Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.Collaborate with location management and / or law enforcement as directed in response to incidents or emergencies.Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities, incidents, and / or unusual occurrences observed during patrols.What We're Looking For :

Must be at least 21 years of age.Possession of a Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.A valid driver's license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us :
