Overview
Support the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of initiatives ranging from small pilots to large-scale programs. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define objectives, develop business cases, and align resources to strategic priorities. Lead the design and implementation of operational frameworks that enhance process efficiency, elevate standards, and deliver measurable impact. Produce high-level insights, competitive analyses, and strategic recommendations through reports, presentations, and roadmaps. Cultivate key partnerships and apply market intelligence to inform strategic direction and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and oversee implementation of solutions to drive the NFCU strategies ensuring processes, systems, operations, quality assessments and service standards are targeted to support superior objectives
- Provide advanced strategic analysis and recommendations to assist key decisions made by senior leadership through the use of strategic frameworks (e.g. SWOT)
- Lead and oversee project teams on complex initiatives of significant business impact across the organization
- Prepare and deliver complex project plans, proposals, schedules, communications, and resource impacts
- Analyze and review operational dashboards with project progress, resource allocation, and communication status
- Oversee regular project reviews to assess business alignment and identify areas for improvement
- Oversee benchmarking standards research including measuring goals against performance, continuous improvement, and potential use of industry-leading vendors
- Review processes / programs / services across different functional and operational areas to identify, capture, analyze, assess and recommend improvements that align with strategic priorities
- Identify and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks / assignments
- As a member of the cross functional team, apply Agile / Lean principles to continuously incrementally improve complex operation strategies for the branch
- Monitor key performance indicators and determine gaps in performance metrics
- Partner with business units to determine benchmarking targets to ensure effective processes are in place, including proactive and reactive initiatives review of assignments,
quality assurance, and cross-servicing of operations and services
Provide strategic direction to ensure initiatives are communicated and implemented for all functional and operational business unitsReview, recommend, and modify operational objectives and goals that align with division, department and corporate strategiesProvide results of and develop recommendations based on analysis and research of trends in support of complex projects and initiativesIdentify complex operational, training, and service / products goals and create opportunities to join forces across the organizationEnsure consistent, appropriate and fluid communication across the organizationLead staff in resolution of complex and / or unique problemsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications
Expert knowledge of project management, process improvement, and / or change management methodologiesSignificant experience in using Agile methodologies / principles (Scrum, XP, Lean etc.)Significant experience in leading large projects / initiatives which have business risk and impactAdvanced in the use of PCs and software applications.Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and achieve desired resultsExpert skill interacting with staff, management, vendors and members diplomatically and tactfullyExpert research, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAdvanced verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to include present findings and conclusionsExpert organizational. planning and time management skillsExpert skill interpreting, applying and explaining written and oral regulations, instructions, operations, products, procedures.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experienceDesired Qualifications
Knowledge of NFCU operations, processes and proceduresWorking knowledge of Navy Federal policies, procedures, instructions, automated systems software and NCUA policies, instructions and regulationsAdvanced knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectivesHours : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00AM - 4 : 30PM
