The Biosystems Engineering and Soil Science Department in the Herbert College of Agriculture at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville is searching for a lecturer to fill a 9-month position in the Construction Science and Management (CSM) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the CSM program Faculty, program Director, and Professional Advisors to deliver coursework which will complement the comprehensive construction science and management curriculum. The candidate should be willing to engage in innovative and interdisciplinary teaching, program development, and service activities. Specific duties and responsibilities will include :

Qualifications :
Master’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field at time of hire. The candidate must have a proven track record or demonstrated promise of strong teaching skills in the classroom and laboratory. Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills is necessary.
Desired Qualifications : Terminal degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field at time of hire. Desired qualifications also include evidence of progressively responsible industry experience over the applicant’s career, evidence of effective communication, significant U.S. construction experience, professional registration or contractor’s license; certification and / or credentials, capability of incorporating information technology into the classroom and experience teaching at the university level.
