- Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm
- Outpatient role with occasional inpatient duties including first assist support, rounding, consultations and discharges

Job Duties and Responsibilities :
The PA-Cardiac Surgery assists the supervising surgeon in the operating room, but also plays an integral role in the global management of patients undergoing cardiothoracic, vascular, or aortic surgery.Includes all aspects of peri-operative care from performing patient histories and daily rounds to invasive surgical procedures, including the critical retrieval of vascular tissue in coronary bypass proceduresCompetitive candidates must have extensive knowledge of artificial cardiac devices, ventilators and the pharmacologic effects of vasoactive / cardiotonic drugsThe PA also provides patient care expertise in the postoperative acute care units, step-down units and regular floorsFirst assist in the O.R., participate in aortic clinic, endovascular vein harvestingRequirements :
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Thoracic Surgery PA or Surgical PA requiredActive CA Physician Assistant License in good standingGraduate from an accredited PA programKnowledge of Epic EMR preferredExperience working in a hospital setting is preferred.Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.Ability to be adaptable based on program needs preferredContact : Steven Yi
