Key Responsibilities
1. Assessment & Instructional Support
Provide technical support during state-mandated testing (e.g., LEAP , ACT , ELA , TS Gold , etc.)
Collaborate with testing coordinators to set up secure browsers, testing devices, and backup systems
Monitor real-time testing performance and troubleshoot disruptions
Ensure compliance with Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) testing protocols
2. End-User Support (Student & Staff)
Deliver timely Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to students, teachers, and administrative staff
Troubleshoot issues with Chromebooks, laptops, tablets, smartboards, projectors, and other instructional tech
Train staff and students on proper use of educational platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Clever, Edgenuity, JCampus, etc.)
3. Application & System Support
Manage and provide support for educational and operational software, including :
JCampus (Sponsor Site / Student SIS)
SchoolMint or EnrollBR
Clever
Learning management systems (LMS) and curriculum platforms
Work with vendors and central office to maintain license compliance and software updates
4. Network & Server Support
Maintain local servers, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, and other network infrastructure
Collaborate with external IT vendors as needed to ensure data security and optimal uptime
Ensure compliance with FERPA , CIPA , and all relevant data privacy regulations
5. Inventory & Asset Management
Maintain accurate inventory of all IT equipment and instructional devices
Tag, deploy, track, and recover devices assigned to staff and students
Coordinate repairs and replacements in accordance with school and district policy
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology , Computer Science , or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
2+ years of experience in a K-12 educational setting , preferably within a Louisiana public or charter school
Proficiency with LEAP and state assessment platforms , including setup and technical readiness
Experience supporting Google Workspace for Education , JCampus , and instructional technology platforms
Knowledge of basic networking, server maintenance, and security protocols
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and across multiple sites
Reliable transportation to travel between campuses (mileage reimbursed)
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Bulletin 118 (Louisiana Testing Requirements) and state testing accommodations
Experience with data reporting systems , such as EdLink or SER
Bilingual (English / Spanish or English / Creole) is a plus
