Job description

Psychological Operations Specialist

As a Psychological Operations Specialist, you will become a key strategist in the art of persuasion. You will be tasked with assessing and developing impactful information to effectively engage and influence diverse audiences. Your role will involve broadcasting critical information through various channels and collaborating with U.S. and foreign governments, military organizations, and civilian communities.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card

Aged between 17 to 34 years old

Hold a High School Diploma or GED

Eligible for obtaining a Top Secret Security Clearance

Comply with Tattoo Guidelines

No Major Law Violations

No Medical Concerns

Testing & Certifications

Access to 53 Nationally Recognized Certifications

Complete 20 weeks of One Station Unit Training

Pass a 10-day Psychological Operations Specialist Assessment & Selection Program, after completing Airborne School and the Psychological Operations Specialist Qualification Course (active duty only)

Score 85 or above on the Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB) (active duty only)

Active Duty & Army Reserve : Attend 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training, followed by 10 weeks of Advanced Individual Training or 16-22 weeks of One Station Unit Training

Active Duty only : Complete Airborne School

5 weeks of Psychological Operations Preparation & Conditioning Course

10-day Psychological Operations Assessment & Selection

10 weeks of Psychological Operations Qualification Course

10 weeks of Special Warfare Psychological Operations Course

16-22 weeks of Basic Special Operations Language Training

Score 75 or above on the Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB)

Army Reserve Soldiers may attend Airborne or Language training based on unit requirements

A minimum score of 105 on the ASVAB General Technical (GT) test
