Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Silver City, NM 88061 (New Mexico healthcare jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)

Start Date : November 10, 2025 (ASAP start available upon compliance)

Shift : Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 - 07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Setting : LDRP, Mother / Baby, Couplet Care, Nursery (Level I) in a Critical Access Hospital

Guaranteed Hours : Yes

On-site Parking : Free

Scrub Color : Royal Blue

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2200 - $2360

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or multi-state compact license (RN jobs in New Mexico)

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (required for L&D RN jobs)

Proficiency with Meditech or comparable EMR documentation preferred

Ability to work weekends and some holidays

Travel nurses must reside at least 70 miles from Silver City, NM

Pending licenses not accepted

Smoke / Nicotine-free campus

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care in Labor & Delivery, Mother / Baby, Couplet Care, and Level I Nursery settings

Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections

Perform antepartum and postpartum assessments, including APGAR scoring

Provide high-quality care to neonates, adolescents, and adult patients

Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Float to other hospital units as needed, per hospital policy

Respond to on-call requirements within 30 minutes if assigned
