Position : Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Travel Contract Employment Type : Full-time, 13-week travel nursing assignment Start Date : December 1, 2025 End Date : March 2, 2026 Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Shift : 7pm – 7am (12-hour night shifts) Unit : Family Birthing Center – 6 LDRP beds, 3 Postpartum beds Orientation : Comprehensive 7-day training and department-specific orientation (mandatory attendance) Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary : $2,250 – $2,310 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Indiana or compact state Minimum 3 years of recent OB / Labor & Delivery nursing experience BLS certification (AHA required) NRP certification (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (AWHONN preferred) Availability to work weekends (every third Friday and Saturday, plus a scheduled Sunday every three weeks) Mandatory attendance for full orientation week Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to patients and families during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases Deliver expert newborn care and support in a clinical setting Utilize Epic EMR, Electronic Fetal Monitoring, Fetal Warmers, and Pyxis medication system Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses (minimum two nurses per shift) Maintain compliance with Indiana Perinatal Standards and nurse-to-patient ratios Adhere to hospital dress code (hospital-issued scrubs) Participate in ongoing clinical training and orientation tailored to your nursing experience Huntington, Indiana is an ideal location for healthcare professionals seeking travel nursing jobs in a peaceful, community-focused environment.
