POSITION OVERVIEW : Manage full cycle recruiting of Retail Mortgage Loan Originators to include strategic sourcing techniques to attract passive candidates (cold calling included); partner with hiring leaders to understand key markets and hiring needs – support leaders with all recruiting related requests. Expectations include a minimum of 2 MLO leads submitted per week and a minimum of 6 recruiter sourced MLO hires per year.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

  • Responsible for supporting business objectives through proactively sourcing, assessing, and recruiting top talent for positions, with limited assistance from outside agencies.
  • Identifies candidates using a variety of sources and techniques while knowing the best channels to find and reach candidates in diverse talent pools.
  • Drives recruiting process in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Demonstrates a proven commitment to provide a diverse talent pool, a positive experience for the hiring manager and candidate.
  • MS Office Experience required

  • Systems : Phenom and Workday
  • Basic knowledge of talent acquisition processes including sourcing and selection of a broad, diverse population of applicants
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Basic marketing and recruitment network skills
  • Ability to review and understand data, trends and metrics
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks / projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Intermediate computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications and applicant tracking systems
  • ABOUT THE TEAM :

    Team consists of 9 recruiters who support CA Branch and Small Business Banking + Consumer Lending nationwide. Role will work with internal partners to include consumer lending hiring leaders, admin support, onboarding, talent attraction, sourcing, and global enterprise recruiting. They will also work with external candidates who they will work to source and hire.

    ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE : Our ideal recruiter is someone who brings a proven track record of success in sourcing and hiring Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) within the banking or mortgage lending industry. This individual must be adept at navigating the nuances of passive recruiting, particularly in a highly competitive and regulated space like mortgage lending. Likewise, industry knowledge is a must-have. The person should have strong collaboration skills to work closely with hiring leaders, understand market-specific needs, and provide consultative support throughout the hiring process. Adaptability and agility will also be important to this person’s success.
