Job description

Birch Agency, a nationally recognized company in educational services, is looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher RSP (Mild / Moderate) to join our team in McClellan Park, CA! We have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special needs, and we are hiring like-minded professionals to be part of our team.

Job Details :

  • Start : ASAP
  • Monday-Friday
  • Age group TBD
  • Mild / Moderate
  • RSP (Push in and pull out services)
  • Pay dependent on experience but starting at $50 / hr

Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution
  • Valid state license or certification for Mild / Moderate Education Specialist
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs

    • Responsibilities :

    As a Special Education Teacher with Birch Agency, you will :

  • Provide direct / group instructions to students with disabilities
  • Develop lesson plans / instructional material to meet needs of students IEP
  • Conduct educational assessments
  • Attend IEP meetings
  • Assist in planning and development of IEP
  • Facilitate implementation of special education services
  • Collaborate with other members who are part of the special education team
  • Employ a variety of teaching styles to respond to needs of diverse learners
  • Effectively communicate with parents / caregivers and staff to support students academic success
  • Modify traditional education curriculum to meet students needs
  • Ensure appropriate accommodations are available for classroom instruction and testing
  • Employ techniques for positive behavioral support
  • Assist in the collection of data for providing appropriate classroom interventions
