Clinical Nurse - Operating Room (Main Campus & Josie Robertson Surgery Center)

Exciting Opportunity at MSK : Join our team as a Clinical Nurse at our Main Campus or Josie Robertson Surgery Center. We're looking for a dynamic nursing professional eager to showcasecompassionate, evidence-based nursing care skills and make a meaningful impact in our Operating Room.

Role Overview :

Provide primary nursing care in the Main Campus Operating Room or Josie Robertson Surgery Center as needed (Ambulatory Surgery).

Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are sterile and ready.

Maintain a sterile environment to prevent infections.

Ensure that the surgical team adheres to aseptic techniques.

Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants.

Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during the procedure.

Monitor the patient's vital signs and communicate any changes to the surgical team.

Act as the patient's advocate, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the procedure.

Accurately document the surgical procedure, including the instruments used, the patient's condition, and any occurrences during surgery.

Key Qualifications :

NYS RN license & registration; CNOR certification highly preferred

BSN preferred; ASN

Minimum of 1 year of operating room RN experience in an acute care setting required

Schedule : 10 / hr OR 12 / hr Shift; Flexed between 7am and 12 : 00am with week rotationrequired

Pay Range : $110,700.00 - $177,100.00
