Inside Sales Representative (SPS Companies - Fire Protection Division)

SPS Companies Fire Protection Division (Pipe Fabricators) is currently seeking an individual to fill an opening for a full-time Inside Sales Representative role at our Maple Grove location.

Our Inside Sales Representatives are responsible for increasing sales and overall company profits through the continued cultivation of existing customers and establishment of new customers. By building strong relationships throughout the company and industry, developing a comprehensive knowledge of our product lines, and exceeding customer needs our sales representatives play an integral role in our continued growth and success.

Job Description Overview

• Promptly answer and return calls from customers placing orders, requesting quotes or information regarding products and services
• Enter orders into the system accurately and keep customers informed of shipment details
• Develop knowledge of features and functionality of products, including price points, application, and availability.
• Establish trusted advisor status with customer, becoming primary facilitator for their requests
• Identity and promote opportunities for the sale of additional products
• Follow through on commitments made to customers (bids, existing sales orders, sales follow up, etc.)
• Develop company relationships and use internal resource to help resolve customer issues quickly
• Assist other sales team members in resolving customer issues when necessary
• Understand the nuances of competitor product offerings and their audience
• Educate customers on our value proposition, clearly explaining what differentiates us from our competition
• Other duties as assigned

About SPS Companies - Fire Protection Division (Pipe Fabricators)

Established in 1984, Pipe Fabricators provides premier fire protection products and fabrication. Our Maple Grove location is one of six branches within the fire protection division of SPS companies, Inc. In addition to fire protection, SPS has a plumbing / HVAC division, and a roofing and sheet metal division. SPS companies, Inc. is an ESOP company, 100% employee owned, which is an added benefit to our employees. We also offer a generous PTO policy with the first 40 hours being granted after only 90 days.

This is a full-time position. Hours will be 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm Monday through Friday, and being in office is required.
