Annual Compensation Range : $80,000-$100,000
Biocoat is committed to providing the best in developing, manufacturing, and applying coatings on medical devices. We are looking for a Process Engineer who is willing to support the company, including developing, configuring, and optimizing the medical coating manufacturing processes.
What will I be doing as a Process Engineer I?
Responsibilities include, but not limited to :
- Troubleshoot equipment issues
- Build process improvements and / or scale up of the coatings line and reactor systems
- Develop new process technologies to improve productivity, product quality and support new product development
- Assist with dip coater equipment to resolve problems, troubleshooting, and fixtures
- Specify and source equipment, documenting new equipment through qualification / validation activities
- Design transfer from development to production
- Interface with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs and follow all applicable regulatory and quality requirements
- Prepare SOP’s or reports
- Interface with customers, suppliers, auditors, and agencies
- Assist in the management of equipment calibration and preventive maintenance
- Design and fabrication custom components, fixtures & prototypes
Do I qualify?
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Medical Device Engineering2+ years chemical, industrial or manufacturing engineering experienceExperienced with chemical process equipmentExcellent eye for detailAbility to operate in a clean room and laboratory environmentProven experience in abiding by safety requirements and ability to operate and enforce all safety guidelinesPlan and schedule work duties; initiative-takerAbility to interact with outside personnelGood written documentation and verbal skillsStrong technical writing skillsAbility and desire to work in a small company environmentExperience with automation and process controls is a plusBackground in the medical device industry is a plusWhat Biocoat Offers :
