Univision was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in a beautiful, new 2-story office building located in Missoula and has remote branches across the amazing states of Montana, Washington, and Florida.

What is it like as a Senior IT Engineer at Univision?
Senior Engineers will work on individual & team-based tasks as experienced technical defense (escalation point), provide mentorship / knowledge transfer to fellow team members, and help develop strategic solutions for the IT needs of our managed clients. This requires a high-level understanding of complex technical and networking concepts, the ability to translate that into useful verbiage for lower-level technicians and customers-alike. Our success is built on teamwork, GSD-R (Get Stuff Done-Right), and providing great customer service by being our clients best friend in technology.
NOTE : We are currently looking for applicants in the Liberty Lake and Spokane area. This is not a remote position.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service, guiding clients from first contact through resolution and follow-up.
- Serve as an escalation point for lower-level technicians; provide coaching, training, and quality review.
- Own complex incidents and changes, including root-cause analysis, remediation plans, and documentation.
- Lead or co-lead on-site visits and work at client locations; represent the company professionally.
- Perform advanced remote troubleshooting using RMM tools, diagnostics, and structured questioning.
- Determine and implement best-fit solutions based on customer needs and environmental constraints.
- Ensure thorough ticket hygiene : accurate notes, time entries, asset updates, and knowledge base contributions.
- Implement and improve our technical standards.
- Escalate unresolved issues appropriately while maintaining ownership and client communication.
- Identify and execute proactive improvements to prevent issues and enhance reliability and security.
- Participate in service and product evaluations, deployment standards, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver a cohesive client experience.
- Engage in knowledge sharing : contribute to runbooks, SOPs, and internal training sessions.
- Work flexibly WFH / WFO as needed; support scheduled after-hours maintenance windows when required.
- Travel to client sites as needed, including multi-day engagements.
Qualification / Certifications / Requirements
Experience :
10+ years in professional IT roles with 5+ of those years being a Tier 2-3 Engineer on a support or project team.Proven experience supporting SMB / SME environments typical of MSPs.Tools and platforms :
RMM and PSA platforms for remote support, monitoring, scripting, and automation.Security stack : next-gen AV / EDR, anti-malware, email security, MFA, identity protection; familiarity with zero-trust principles.Backup and DR : on-prem and cloud image / file backups, recovery testing, and DR runbooks.Voice and Communications : VoIP systems; eFax solutions (preferred).Virtualization : VMware, Hyper-V, or similar (preferred).Networking : firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, VPNs; configuration, staging, and deployment of network hardware.Device management : MDM / UEM or centrally managed endpoint management (preferred).Operating systems and apps :
Windows desktop / server administration.Microsoft 365 and Azure administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID / Azure AD, Intune).Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.macOS and iOS (preferred); Android (preferred).Conferencing / collaboration : Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.Hardware :
Workstation building, imaging, and hardware replacement.Server hardware maintenance and lifecycle tasks.Soft skills :
Strong customer service, clear written and verbal communication, and stakeholder management.Ability to prioritize, manage competing deadlines, and drive tasks to completion with minimal oversight.Mentorship of junior technicians and contribution to documentation / knowledge base.Other requirements :
Valid drivers license and ability to occasionally travel for on-site work, including multi-day engagements with advanced scheduling.Ability to work on scheduled maintenance windows and occasional after-hours escalations when required.Formal IT education / certifications are desirable (e.g., CompTIA Network+ / Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) but not required.Note : All employees are subject to a Criminal Background Check.
