CNC Machinist - 2nd shift

We are searching for a 2nd shift CNC Machinist with a minimum of 3 years’ experience preferably operating Mazak CNC machines. The 2nd shift CNC Machinist will set-up and operate MAZAK CNC machines to produce parts according to blueprints, specifications and manufacturing orders.

The core hours for 2nd shift are 6 pm – 3 am Monday – Thursday and 3 pm – 8 pm on Fridays.

What You Will Do :

• Program, set-up and operate Mazak CNC machines to produce parts according to blueprints, specifications, manufacturing orders and work instructions
• Create programs for 3 / 4 / 5 axis machines using CAM software based on customer supplied CAD drawings. Some Conversational Programming
• Previous experience programming Mazak CNC’s is preferred, but all CNC machinists will be trained to become CNC programmers.
• Responsible for monitoring the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
• Maintains correct dimensions of parts while running jobs using measuring instruments
• Maintains correct dimensions of parts while running the job using measuring instruments such as micrometers, comparators, calipers, and gauges. Verifies the conformity of parts to blueprints / specifications during and / or after the run.
