Automation Control Engineer

Job Description

• Design and document control systems including PLC, HMI, instrumentation, motor control, VFDs, safety circuits, robotics.
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and project documentation .
• Lead projects from conception to completion , ensuring quality and compliance.
• Mentor junior team members and support professional growth.
• Utilize AutoCAD and other design tools .
• Research and implement new technologies .
• Manage client interactions, approvals, and permitting processes .
• Perform on-site inspections and collaborate with contractors and suppliers.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering preferred but not required.
• PE status with Georgia Society of Professional Engineers preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience in PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, robotics, VFDs, and servo drives.
• Proficiency in development software such as Rockwell, Siemens, Fanuc, ABB, Copa-Data.
• Experience with pharmaceutical industry and / or power generation preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of U.S. electrical and ANSI standards ; ISO 9001 experience preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills .
• Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude .
