\n\nSchedule\n

7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM, 3 x 12 hour shifts. Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday). No holiday requirement or on-call requirement.

\n\nJob Description\n

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The role includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patients' needs while advocating for evidence-based practice care standards.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

    • \n

  • Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care based on initial and ongoing assessments.

    • \n

  • Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage the care of patients.

    • \n

  • Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and / or clinical priorities.

    • \n

  • Float to units within competency as required.

    • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a medical-surgical / telemetry unit in a major acute care hospital setting.

    • \n

  • ASN required; BSN preferred.

    • \n

  • Certifications required : ACLS-AHA, NIHSS, BLS-AHA, Telemetry, and NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

    • \n

  • CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours) required.
