Lactation Consultant Nurse RN PRN New Iberia, LA

IMC is currently seeking to hire a Lactation Consultant Nurse (RN) on a PRN basis. Under the supervision of the Unit Director and with the authority of the Chief Nursing Officer, nurses deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with our established philosophy. The Lactation Consultant Nurse specializes in breastfeeding and lactation support.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Graduate of a state-approved RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Louisiana Licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
• Current Certification by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBCLC).
• BLS (CPR) certification upon hire.
• NRP certification within 6 months of employment.
• ACLS certification within 1 year post-hire for those providing post-operative care.
• PALS certification preferred within 1 year post-hire.
