Marketing Manager Health Systems & Hospital Pharmacy

Marketing is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions, and competition to inform business strategy. Marketing implements the strategy through developing, commercializing, and monitoring the appropriate products and services. The Pharmacy Marketing team is responsible for the strategic positioning and marketing of the core pharmaceutical distribution for the various classes-of-trade in the Pharmaceutical & Specialty Solutions division. Team members develop and execute go-to-market positioning, strategic marketing plans, and tactical programs to meet business objectives.

The Manager, Marketing Health Systems & Hospital Pharmacy is responsible for the seamless integration and execution of major marketing campaigns to support our brand, enhance customer experience with value-added solutions, and grow our distribution market share within the acute classes-of-trade. This role will lead execution of omni-channel marketing strategies, elevating brand awareness and improving engagement to increase ROI and sales. The role will also support the execution of key brand and experience initiatives like in-person events and meetings.

This role will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing Health Systems & Hospital Pharmacy to build strong relationships across the organization to reinforce the value of marketing as a strategic partner and to ensure the marketing needs of the business are being met. This role will work closely with a cross-functional team, including Sales, Product & Solution Owners, Solution Operations, Market Intelligence and Analytics, Communications, Legal, Compliance, Digital & Social Media teams, and others.

Responsibilities include partnering with business leaders and sales teams to support the development and execution of strategic marketing and tactical plans designed to achieve distribution and solutions business objectives. The role will lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns designed to achieve defined business objectives with target audiences to drive awareness and reinforce our value proposition. Additionally, the role will be responsible for content strategy and Subject Matter Experts (SME) management for health system marketing, to drive awareness and consideration through marketing channels in partnership with digital marketing, communications, and commercial enablement.

Support the strategy and manage implementation of key launches for new products / solutions and solution enhancements to increase retention and renewals of offerings through positioning, marketing mix, and promotions. Manage sales enablement in collaboration with the training team to ensure that teams have all necessary information for effective commercialization. Responsible for the management and execution of assigned tradeshows for Health Systems distribution and assigned strategic hospital pharmacy solutions. Executes market research projects like brand equity tracking, ongoing competitive landscape assessment, market segmentation, and ad hoc market research. Utilizes strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints, develops reporting dashboards to track progress towards goals. Performs analysis of data from marketing campaigns. Coordinates with business intelligence teams or external vendors as necessary to track performance. Defines budget requirements, tracks expenses, manages vendor purchase orders and invoices, and consistently seeks cost savings and efficiency opportunities. Works closely with the Indirect Procurement team to establish Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs), and to evaluate external agencies when needed.

Qualifications include 4-8 years of experience preferred, BA, BS or equivalent experience in a related field strongly preferred. Advance Degree preferred. Healthcare services and solution marketing, advertising agency, and / or product management experience, preferred. An innovative, self-starter who sees 'ambiguity' as an opportunity as opposed to a hurdle and thrives on challenging yourself to push beyond conventional thinking. Comfortable in fast-paced environments, is flexible and able to adapt to changing scenarios, rolls up their sleeves and gets the job done while maintaining a strong level of attention to detail. A results-driven marketer passionate about demonstrating value to your stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented, highly organized with exceptional project management skills. Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets. Ability to work well independently and lead a team of stakeholders, including across multiple internal teams and geographies. Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization. Hybrid work, ability to be on-site on average 3 days a week, preferred. Ability to travel 10-15% of the time.

Demonstrates knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building business and marketing plans, including an understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels. Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects. May contribute to the development of policies and procedures. Works on complex projects of large scope. Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems; solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives. Analytical, experience deriving insights from large data sets. Completes work independently; receives general guidance on new projects. Ability to prioritize and balance multiple initiatives. May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.

Anticipated salary range : $80,900 - $115,500.
