Motor-Operated Valve Technician - Level III (Valve and Actuator Repair Exp. Required)
John H. Carter Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced field and shop technician to disassemble, troubleshoot, repair and reassemble industrial process control valves, regulators, actuators and related equipment. The position requires a minimum of five years in a similar environment and a strong mechanical aptitude. Travel to customer sites is limited to approximately fifteen percent of the time.
Job Summary
Field based technician travels to processing plants and remote locations to troubleshoot and repair valve and regulator assemblies. Shop based technicians work on scheduled service orders at the company facility. Safety, documentation and team communication are essential.

Detailed work experience includes : MSDS review, valve identification, GVT entry, electric actuator tear-down, pipe inspection, forklift use, API code application, final inspection and tagging. The technician demonstrates full knowledge of troubleshooting and repair of valve assemblies and related equipment in both field and shop environments.

Typical duties require strong technical focus, stress tolerance, long work hours, training peers, communication with sales and service teams and continuous learning. Attendance and reliability are essential.
