About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Data Science and Analytics to play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of data initiatives and research projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the delivery of high-impact solutions that directly influence business outcomes, particularly in the context of empowering providers in the shift to value-based care. This leadership position demands a visionary with deep technical expertise, capable of building and scaling a high-performing team, and fostering a culture of technical excellence. The VP will partner with executive leadership to establish strategic priorities, lead a team of data science and analytics managers and principal data scientists, and define a multi-year research trajectory. Collaboration with engineering and technical operations is essential to build a scalable, secure MLOps environment, and the role also involves pioneering the application of Generative AI within data science and analytics operations. Candidates for this role at the company should have an advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience, with a minimum of 10-15 years in a quantitative field and at least 5-7 years in senior leadership roles. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in defining, building, and scaling high-performing data science and analytics organizations, particularly in fast-paced environments. Deep expertise in advanced machine learning, statistical modeling, experimental design, and causal inference is a must, as is a history of spearheading research initiatives that deliver innovative, production-ready models. The role requires exceptional communication and collaboration skills, extensive experience in data governance, MLOps, and quality assurance, and a passion for the people-management aspects of leadership. Experience in the healthcare domain and with Generative AI is a plus, but not essential.
