We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines, with a focus on tractor-trailers. This role is critical to our operations and requires someone who is mechanically inclined, with a strong understanding of electrical and HVAC systems. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and performing repairs on our fleet of diesel vehicles.

Duties :

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements to ensure the vehicles are in good working order.
• Diagnose and repair issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicles to identify potential problems before they become major issues.
• Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform welding and soldering tasks as needed to repair or replace components.
• Suspend or lift vehicles using jacks and hoists to access areas that require maintenance or repair.
• Collaborate with other technicians to ensure all vehicles are properly serviced and meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of our fleet and its various components to ensure efficient and cost-effective maintenance and repair.

Skills :

Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or service technician.

Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with diesel engines.

Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.

Proficiency in electrical systems and their repair.

Experience with HVAC systems and their maintenance and repair.

Ability to suspend or lift vehicles using jacks and hoists.

Knowledge of tractor-trailers and their specific maintenance and repair requirements.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $24.00 - $28.50 per hour
