Job Description

Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Position is responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business via customer retention and growth. The role partners with GM to manage Team Members. It requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, sourcing from various channels including special orders, FDO, second sources, etc. The role involves directing drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery. This is a full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain commercial customer relationships
  • Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Support day-to-day supervision of Team Members
  • Collaborate with GM on coaching and development of Team Members
  • Dispatch drivers to meet delivery standards
  • Maintain commercial stocking programs
  • Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain core bank and commercial returns
  • Manage commercial credit accounts
  • Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

  • Proficiency with POS and parts lookup systems
  • ASE P2 certification or equivalent

  • Ability to source parts from multiple channels
  • Advanced selling skills for commercial customers
  • Multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Essential Job Skills

  • Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic skills
  • Effective communication in English (Spanish a plus)
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and catalogs
  • Complete Parts Knowledge Assessment successfully
  • Basic math skills
  • Effective use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of commercial profitability concepts
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends
  • Prior Experience

    Minimum of 3 years of automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales ability and team leadership experience are advantageous.

    Education

    High school diploma or GED required.

    Certifications

    ASE Certification preferred but not required.

    Physical Demands

    Requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, and manual handling, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

    Work Environment

    Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks, exposure to weather, mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise. Moderate noise level typical.

    Position eligible for sales commission based on performance.

    Compensation Range

    $19.95 - $21.95 per hour
