Travel RN Job Details Location : Lubbock, TX 79410 (Texas nursing jobs) Assignment Length : 26 weeks (contract through May 4, 2026) Start Date : November 3, 2025 Shift : 3x12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Unit : Med Surg South - 30-bed Orthopedic Trauma Unit Patient Ratio : 1 : 5-6 Floating : May float between units and sister facilities as needed Weekends : Required per scheduling needs Parking : Free employee / visitor parking Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact license accepted; must be in hand at submission) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience Prior travel nursing experience required Experience in a community hospital setting required Trauma Level II experience preferred Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system Ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias Strong skills in blood product administration, wound care, and orthopedic trauma management Two supervisory references from the past three years Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a busy orthopedic trauma and med / surg telemetry unit Manage post-operative orthopedic trauma patients, including blood administration, wound vacs, CPM, and more Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; respond to rapid response / code situations Perform phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and oxygen therapy (including high-flow nasal cannula) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, and social services Float to other units or sister facilities as needed to support patient care Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic Adhere to hospital dress code : solid navy blue scrubs for RNs Join our healthcare team in Lubbock, Texas, and take the next step in your travel nursing career.
