Scribd, Inc. is hiring : Senior User Experience Researcher in Chicago

Overview Senior User Experience Researcher role at Scribd, Inc. This position focuses on defining ongoing strategic opportunities for Scribd’s UGC products, with emphasis on generative and exploratory research methods.

What You Will Do Identify questions to move strategy and execution forward; insights inform company strategy, product experiences, and long-term roadmaps.

Advocate for and develop the strategic direction of UGC brands, acting as a thought leader and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Design, scope, and conduct user research to uncover latent and unmet needs of Scribd and Slideshare users using generative, iterative, and evaluative methods.

Support multiple product managers, designers, and other stakeholders with a range of research needs from large and generative to small and tactical.

Make research findings actionable through crafted insights, decks, stories, and videos; promote team engagement in studies to drive informed decisions.

Build and implement innovative user research processes to meet product delivery goals.

Leverage company-provisioned AI tools to maximize efficiencies in research while maintaining appropriate human oversight.

About You 5+ years of hands-on experience in market / product / design research with a demonstrated impact on roadmaps, design outcomes, and processes.

Ability to navigate ambiguous opportunities to extract information for a clear path forward.

Strong knowledge of qualitative UX research methods and quantitative surveys at scale.

BA / BS in Psychology, Social Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Proven ability to use human-centered insights to answer business questions.

Strong collaboration skills and ability to lead cross-functional brainstorming and strategic partnerships.

Ability to own a portion of the research roadmap and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.

Compensation and Benefits Salary ranges are location-based and depend on experience, with outlines for various regions. This position is eligible for equity and a comprehensive benefits package.
