Job Title : Nurse Practitioner Urgent Care
Job Type : Locum Tenens
Location : Torrington, CT (with flexibility across New Haven, Middlesex, New London, Windham, Tolland, Hartford, and Litchfield counties)
Service Setting : Urgent Care
Coverage Type : Clinical Only
Coverage Period : 11 / 01 31 / 2026
Clinical Shift Schedule : Flexible; emphasis on weekends, Monday and Friday shifts preferred; may split day between two sites
On-Call Shift Schedule : None

Patient Volume / Census : Varies by site; providers expected to have experience managing full 12-hour shifts

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Suturing / Wound Care / Incision & Drainage

Splinting

Reading X-rays / EKGs

Drawing blood

Pediatric care

Working independently in urgent care setting

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Active Connecticut license required

Board : Board certification required

DEA : Active DEA, assigned to a state

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS preferred

Experience : Experience in urgent care and / or emergency medicine required; must be able to travel 45+ minutes and adjust to schedule / site changes

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide independent urgent care across various Connecticut counties

Flex between multiple clinic sites within a single shift as needed

Deliver timely and high-quality care to a range of patients, including pediatric through geriatric

Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and reading imaging studies

Collaborate with GoHealth scheduling team to meet dynamic staffing needs
