FUNCTION :
Position is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
KEY RESULT AREAS :
- Financial reporting is accurate, timely and meets the needs of the board of directors and management.
- Methods of collection and distribution of information are optimized to enable management to make well-informed decisions in a timely manner.
- Cash flow is managed to ensure availability of funds as required.
- Serves as an agent for change within the organization through program / project evaluation and the implementation of workable, practical, and sustainable processes that enhance productivity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide leadership and direction to the finance / accounting teams, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, job cost reporting, certified cost and pricing, and audits.Serve as a key advisor to the executive team on financial matters, including capital allocation, investment decisions, expansion decisions, and financial performance.Design and distribute key financial reports amongst the executive leadership team.Provide strategic input and guidance regarding working capital requirements, plant property and equipment investments, and key cashflow considerations.Support the CFO with cash flow forecasting and management.Support the CFO with Board and lender reporting.Ensure accounts receivable are managed carefully and payments are collected according to established terms.Minimize risk exposure by monitoring the financial standings of current and potential customers.Participate as a key member of the company’s senior team in the strategic planning process, ensuring strategic plans meet long-term financial goals.Apply corporate benchmarking strategies, performance measurement indicators, and financial modeling to determine the effectiveness, outcomes, risk, scalability, and measurable impact of strategic projects.Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with peer organizations with comparable missions, priorities, and practices.Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.Work closely with senior management to promote an atmosphere of teamwork, enthusiasm, and commitment to the company's missions and goals.DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION :
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting; CPA preferred.Minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance or accounting roles, with increasing levels of responsibility.Proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting toolsExperience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems required. ERP implementation experience preferred.Experience in multi-site manufacturing and financial statement consolidation.Experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry and knowledge of corresponding Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and compliance requirements is strongly preferred.Demonstrated track record of financial leadership and strategic decision-making in a complex and dynamic business environment.Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of driving change and achieving business objectives.Sound judgment and integrity, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and corporate governance principles.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, adapting to evolving priorities and challenges with resilience and flexibility.Must be a US citizen and located near (or willingness to relocate to) the greater Cincinnati area.COMPENSATION :
