Job Description

As a Sourcing Manager you will oversee the sourcing and production strategy for our costume collections from concept through procurement. You’ll manage global factory relationships, negotiations, and partner closely with Design, Product Development, Sales and Operations to bring creative ideas to life. This role requires a strong understanding of seasonal timelines, materials sourcing, and international production process in the costume or apparel industry.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead sourcing strategy and factory selection for costume categories, evaluating capabilities, cost, and quality to meet design and production goals.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key factory partners.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times to achieve cost and delivery targets while maintaining product quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to translate creative concepts into cost-effective, manufacturable products, ensuring quality and visual integrity from design through production.
  • Research new fabrics, trims, and embellishments to enhance product quality and maintain cost efficiency.
  • Manage the seasonal production calendar, ensuring costume launches align with key celebrations, retail deadlines, and licensed product schedules.
  • Monitor supplier performance, compliance, and production risk, resolving issues proactively.
  • Drive continuous improvement across sourcing processes, cost efficiencies, and vendor performance to support seasonal timelines.
  • Maintain accurate cost sheets, production data, and documentation in PLM and related systems.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in global sourcing, product development, or supply chain within the apparel or costume industry.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Demonstrated success in building strong, global supplier partnerships, including negotiation of cost structures, production terms, and vendor expectations.
  • Understanding of costume or apparel production processes and factory operations, including quality control and compliance.
  • Advanced analytical and financial acumen with experience in cost modeling and margin analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet seasonal deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, and sourcing, PLM or supply chain systems.
  • Willingness to travel to visit international factories, oversee production, and attend trade shows.
  • Fluent in Bengali, or Mandarin is a plus.

  • The hiring range for this position based onsite in Westbury / Plainview, NY will be $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year.
