Assistant Project Manager – Civil Construction Projects
Overview :
We're seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support energy and construction projects. This role assists Project Managers in executing project requirements, tracking costs, coordinating materials, and managing communication among teams, subcontractors, and vendors. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow into future leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support project execution through scheduling, cost tracking, and procurement.
- Communicate with subcontractors, field staff, and vendors to maintain project progress.
- Assist in preparing RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
- Participate in internal meetings, take detailed notes, and support project reporting.
- Track material orders, delivery schedules, and ensure timely coordination.
- Identify project risks and report proactively to the Project Manager.
- Contribute to project safety, quality control, and documentation standards.
Qualifications :
1+ years of experience in construction project support.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) : and basic project management tools.Familiarity with reading plans and construction documentation.Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.Growth Path :
This position offers a defined development path toward a full Project Manager role within 2–3 years, based on performance and leadership readiness. Validated APMs typically manage $5–10 million in annual project volume under team supervision.
