Responsibilities Position is in an acute care hospital setting on the OT Acute Care unit Day shifts are scheduled for 5x8 hours, 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM Traveler may be required to float between units and to nearby affiliate hospitals Patient care focuses on acute and chronic disorders, functional activities, and assessments Epic EMR is used and experience is required Solid color scrubs required; royal blue should be avoided Free parking is available for staff Responsibilities include assessments, implementing functional activities, billing, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention and safety standards Must meet National Patient Safety Goals and core measures as preferred by the facility First-time travelers are welcome to apply Up to 16 hours of orientation and non-billable modules are required prior to start Staff are required to work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year Returning employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and approved prior to the assignment Travelers may be expected to float within the hospital and to nearby affiliated facilities Requirements Current, valid CA Occupational Therapist license required Minimum of 1 year recent acute care experience required Certification in Manual Therapy and Hand Therapy required Experience in infection prevention, fall / risk assessment, and billing required Must complete Epic charting modules References from at least 2 supervisory sources covering one year in a similar setting Candidates should be willing to float as needed Applicants within a 50-mile radius will be considered as locals License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-640668.
