Are you a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication and multitasking skills? We are seeking a Patient Administrative Specialist to join a dynamic outpatient clinical setting. As a Patient Administrative Specialist , you will be at the forefront of patient interaction, ensuring a smooth and professional experience. The Patient Administrative Specialist plays a vital role in the daily administrative operations of the clinic, handling patient coordination, front desk responsibilities, and surgery scheduling.
Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM | 6-Month Onsite Contract
Responsibilities :
- Perform front desk check-in and check-out functions for patients.
- Greet and welcome patients while addressing initial inquiries regarding appointments, payments, and schedules.
- Answer and route calls on a multi-line phone system; take messages for clinic staff and physicians.
- Ensure all insurance verifications and authorizations are completed prior to appointments.
- Coordinate with providers regarding schedule preferences and urgent patient needs.
- Support physician-patient communications using internal documents and tools.
- Maintain databases, process internal forms, and handle various clerical tasks.
- Use electronic medical record systems and phone systems to perform job duties efficiently.
- Deliver excellent service that meets or exceeds organizational standards.
- Manage non-clinical customer relationship messages (CRMs) and escalate as needed.
- Handle incoming / outgoing faxes, clinic mail, and organize clinic-specific documents.
Job Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED required.Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.Proficient in using computer systems and electronic medical records.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Windows-based software and general computer literacy.Ability to adapt communication style to different individuals and situations.Demonstrated calmness and professionalism in high-pressure settings.
