Job descriptionBachelors or Associates Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in printed circuit board assembly processes, methodologies, standards, and best practices Must know how to program SMT equipment Working knowledge of IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 preferred Proficiency with computer software programs preferred (Microsoft products, AutoCAD, Aegis) and placement programming skills preferred Insurance benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability, are available 1st of month after hire 401k program with employer match New employees start accruing 2 weeks of paid time off per year 9 paid holidays per year Every other Friday off

SMT Process Engineering is responsible for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of all related manufacturing equipment & processes required to manufacture a high-quality product in a repeatable and cost-effective manner. As such the successful candidate must have background and experience in SMT and must be a problem solver. They must combine their technical knowledge with that of human capabilities and operational limitations. They should be able to organize many details and manage multiple priorities related to operations and organization.
Responsibilities
- Drive improvements in all related manufacturing processes, including those related to products, equipment, human interface, and product quality
- Active involvement with the production processes and personnel.
- Partnerships with the production personnel
- Provide technical support for all critical processes, product issue resolution and technical direction to the production staff
