  • 7-day coverage blocks with 24-hour shifts
  • 1 - 5 patient encounters per shift rounding on newborns and pediatric patients
  • 15-minute response time for beeper calls
  • Pediatric and newborn ventilation management required
  • Advanced procedures including lumbar puncture and chest tube insertion
  • ED consults and stabilization for transfer of high acuity cases
  • Coverage includes newborn circumcisions and ED phone consultations
