Description :

General comments : Unit Information.

Number of Beds : 8.

Number of Staff : 23 RNs total.

Type of staff :

• Day Shift : 2 RNs 7a-7p, 1 RN 9a-9p, 1 RN 11a-11p.
• Night Shift : 2 RNs 7p-7a.

Patient Ratios : 1 : 4.

Type of equipment : GE Monitors, Nursecall system, Small Ventilator, Baxter Pumps, Zoll Defibs.

EMR : Meditech.

Typical hiring profile :

Most recruited for :

Independent IV skills, EKG skills, and Assessment skills.

Previous ER experience is preferred.

Nice to have :

Experience in a Freestanding Emergency Department setting.

Independent mixing of pharmacy drugs such as Tpa, KCentra.

Typical procedures performed :

IVs, EKGs, medication mixing, scanning of medications for every patient / medication.

Best personality fit :

Team player.

Outgoing.

Independent.

Floating area : None.

Dress code : Navy or white scrubs.

Unit guidelines / policies : Holidays required.

Weekends and on-call : Weekends rotate.

3 weekend shifts which are Fridays and Saturdays per 4-week schedule.
