Forklift Operator

Responsible for supply operations at work site level including receiving, storage, issue and accountability of all items required in support of contract effort. Supervised by Site Manager.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Responsible for receiving operations and ensures that all requirements for inspection and accountability are maintained.
• Assist with all storage operations to include warehouse configurations, locator identification systems, and material handling operations.
• Assist manager with physical inventory procedures and schedules. Inventories are to be conducted in accordance with requirements of applicable task order regulations.
• Maintains all Government Furnished Equipment/Property issue in support of contract.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to operate a general-purpose vehicle.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Work is performed in a shop environment that is moderately lighted, heated and ventilated, is exposed to cuts and bruises from using tools in close placed and hazards. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell. Frequently lifts items weighing 15-25 pounds and occasionally in excess of 40 pounds. Position requires the ability to obtain a Staff-Like Access clearance from the IRS.

*Employees will earn H&W dollars per eligible hour (including vacation and holiday up to 40 hours/week). H&W monies are used to offset the employer's cost of benefits the employee elects into and/or utilizes. Any remaining health and welfare monies after all applicable deductions would be deposited to the employee's 401(k) account on a quarterly basis.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
